Small iPhone solar chargers aren’t for everyone that’s why there are plenty to choose from. One option is a solar bag. I’ve mentioned a few already, but wanted to put together a review of a messenger bag by Eclipse that will work great for charging your iPhone and other small devices on the go.
About The Bag
This messenger style bag has an integrated solar panel, so even if you don’t remember your charger or you’re off the grid for the day, you can still keep your phone battery full. The iPhone Solar Charger Messenger Bag is as eco-friendly as they come. Besides offering you a means of charging your phone for free with a 100% renewable energy source, the outside of the bag itself is made from recycled tire rubber! Each year millions of tires end up being thrown in landfills or burned, but products that are made from recycled rubber helps eliminate the waste and pollution of other disposal methods.
The inside is also eco-friendly and is lined with a soft felt material that is made from recycled plastic bottles. The soft felt lining doesn’t scratch electronics, and it’s easy to slide things in and out of the bag.
Solar Panel/Power
If you’re less concerned about what the bag is made of and more concerned about the solar panel, don’t worry because the makers of this iPhone solar charger messenger bag chose a sturdy and powerful, yet lightweight solar panel. The charger can generate as much as 4 Watts of power. Simply connect your iPhone to the charger with your regular car charger and you’re ready to go!
For extra power storage, an additional portable power pack is available separately. The power pack is a great idea if you plan to use the bag regularly instead of just in emergency situations. Even the casual commuter could utilize the solar panel of the bag to charge their iPhone while they go about with their business.
Even if you don’t have any use on a daily basis for a solar charger, having one is a great idea for travel and/or emergencies. You never know when something will happen and you’ll be without power for a few days, so it’s a good idea to not rely too much on traditional power sources for powering your most important devices.
